Chapter Nine

They’d fucked all night long. The major was insatiable, pulling Nate close over and over again after short bouts of sleep. By the time Eli’s alarm went off, Nate groaned at the thought of getting out of bed.

Nate stretched, wincing. His body was deliciously sore.

Eli pressed a kiss to Nate’s lips before climbing out of bed. The major pulled on a small pair of shorts and then grabbed a pair of socks. Nate fell back against the pillows, unsure how he was going to make it through the day with so little sleep… and so used a body. After a few minutes, he dragged himself out of the bed and headed downstairs. The scent of fresh brewed coffee hit his nose, so at least he wouldn’t have to figure out the pot. He found the pile of discarded clothing in the living room and pulled on his briefs before scuffling into the kitchen.

From the sunroom, he heard the steady pounding of feet and the hum of the treadmill. Nate searched the cabinets for a coffee cup and saw the cupboards were bare. A single cup rested on the drainer beside the sink. Nate grabbed it and filled it to the brim.

He walked to the sunroom, making it there just as Eli finished his run.
